Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Virginia Beach seeks a friendly Bakery Team Member to support daily operations, receive and prep products, stock displays, and deliver excellent customer service in line with WFM standards. You will break down deliveries, maintain cleanliness, and participate in inventory, training, and safety procedures while upholding health regulations and contributing to store programs.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Keep cases and shelves clean and well stocked by front-facing and rotating products.
• Stock and clean shelves, bins, and display areas.
• Monitor spoilage and communicate waste to buyers and supervisors.
• Maintain back stock in good order.
• Assist with sampling program and inventory checks.
• Arrive on time, groomed, and ready to work; attend trainings.
• Provide excellent customer service and suggestive selling.
• Maximize sales through proper prep, storage, rotation, and merchandising.
• Follow health, sanitation, and safety procedures consistently.
• Maintain clean working/shopping environment and equipment.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties; ensure pricing accuracy.
• Report safety hazards and violations immediately.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
