Levain Bakery in New York City seeks a Baker Team Leader to supervise shifts, mentor staff, and uphold the high standards of our products. You will work closely with General Managers and SBTLs to ensure smooth daily operations.

The role requires 1-2 years of baking and supervisory experience, morning/night/weekend availability, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. Candidates must speak English and possess DOH certification where required. We offer competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of baking experience, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Open availability: mornings, nights, weekends, holidays.
• Must be able to lift/push 50 pounds.
• Stand/walk for an 8-hour shift; some locations require stairs.
• Read and communicate in English, verbally and in writing.
• Valid DOH certification and regional food handler certifications.

Responsibilities

• Leadership & Team Supervision: supervise shifts, mentor staff, train new hires, delegate station assignments.
• Baking & Quality Control: bake using Levain recipes, monitor times/temperatures, ensure product quality and consistency.
• Inventory & Ordering Management: manage pars, inventory checks, stock ingredients, place orders, coordinate with management for catering/pre-orders.
