Job summary

Raley's in Avondale, AZ is seeking an Assistant Bakery Team Lead to provide exceptional customer service and lead a busy bakery team. You will strive to meet department goals, share product knowledge, and ensure the freshest, highest quality bakery items for customers.

You will coach, train, and evaluate staff, coordinate with leadership, and manage daily bakery operations while upholding food safety and merchandising standards.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a bakery or food service team.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
• Knowledge of safe food handling and health standards.
• Ability to manage inventory and order supplies.
• Able to coach, evaluate and train team members.

Responsibilities

• Direct bakery department personnel and meet department goals.
• Manage bakery operations when team lead is off duty.
• Coordinate with bakery lead, store director and bakery specialist.
• Order supplies to maintain stock levels.
• Merchandise bakery goods per standards.
• Execute sales and merchandising initiatives.
• Serve as department leader, coach, and trainer.
• Ensure compliance with health and weights & measures requirements.
