Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Bakery Manager to lead the Bakery Clerks and assist the Bakery Manager in daily department operations. You will manage merchandising, inventory, and displays to maximize productivity and profit.

The role requires 2+ years in retail grocery with supervisory experience, strong customer service, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. A Food Handlers permit is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 with 2+ years in retail grocery and 2+ years supervisory experience.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with strong customer interaction skills.
• Strong communication and ability to work in a team.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Maintain department cleanliness and sanitation.
• Able to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.

Responsibilities

• Assist Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering, inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Bakery team.
• Execute rotation of merchandise and build displays.
• Monitor incoming cases for damaged items.
• Ensure excellent customer service and product quality.
• Unload deliveries and operate deli equipment.
• Ensure health, safety, and sanitation guidelines are followed.
