Job summary

Weis Markets, Inc. is seeking a Bakery Supervisor in Chambersburg, PA to lead the department and ensure quality, presentation, and customer service excellence.

You will supervise bakery associates, coordinate decorating and display efforts, and work with the Bakery Manager on scheduling, training, and inventory control. Strong leadership and prior retail or supermarket management experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in business-related or food service-related field desirable.
• Minimum two years of management experience in retail/restaurant/supermarket environment.
• Previous decorating experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes excellent customer relations by guiding associates and resolving issues promptly.
• Takes customer orders over the phone or in person and ensures timely decoration production.
• Decorates cakes and bakery products using various designs, creams, and fillings.
• Assists Bakery Manager with merchandising, scheduling, training, and recognition.
• Oversees inventories and weekly sales reports to support inventory accuracy.
• Develops merchandising plans and ensures correct pricing and production levels.
• Checks deliveries, restocks, and ensures product freshness and proper dating.
• Controls department expenses and labor costs while maintaining product quality.
• Keeps bakery well stocked and responsive to customer needs; assists other departments as needed.
• Ensures PPE compliance and safe working practices.
