Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market in Tucson, AZ is seeking an Assistant Bakery Manager to lead Bakery Clerks and assist the Bakery Manager in daily operations, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction. You will manage inventory, merchandise displays, and safety standards, supervise scheduling, and help balance productivity with friendly, fast-paced service.

This role requires 18+ with retail supervision experience and the ability to train a team.

Qualifications

Must have 2+ years in retail grocery and 2+ years supervisory experience.
Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

Assist Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Bakery team.
Execute rotation of merchandise and building of displays.
Monitor in-coming cases for damaged items.
Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service and monitor the quality of Bakery product.
Unload and sort through store deliveries, operate, and maintain deli equipment.
Ensure the execution of all safety, health, and sanitation guidelines/regulations, and validate that other Bakery team members are also aware of, and following, these procedures.
