Job summary

The ShopRite of Lincoln Park is seeking a Bakery Clerk to support the Bakery Manager with daily operations, pricing, stocking, and product rotation to maintain a clean, visually appealing department. This role emphasizes accuracy in pricing, rotation, and friendly customer interactions in a fast-paced environment.

As a Bakery Clerk you will help ensure safety and sanitation standards, assist in merchandising, handle product restocking, and participate in overtime as needed to meet business

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Basic math skills required.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized and safe work environment.
• Clean and sanitize all work surfaces, utensils and equipment in accordance with Department of Sanitation and QA standards.
• Keep floor clear of debris and spills.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service and assistance.
• Rotate product to ensure freshness.
• Ensure accurate signage for the department.
• Prepare trays to Company’s and customer’s satisfaction.
• Perform duties per Local, State and Federal regulations pertaining to Bakery operations.
• Dress and groom per Company policy including uniform, name badge, and hat or hair restraints.
