Job summary

ShopRite's Lincoln Park, NJ bakery seeks a Baker to assist the Bakery Manager with daily operations, baking, dough mixing, icing, and packaging of pastries and bread items. You will maintain a neat, clean department and help ensure quality and customer satisfaction.

The role requires standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and following safety and QA standards. This is a hands-on position with responsibilities across production and service.

Qualifications

• Read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand English.
• Stand and walk for entire shift.
• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally; push, pull, and bend as needed.
• Work in varying temperatures and with food products.
• Interact with customers in a friendly, helpful manner.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a neat, clean, and safe bakery department.
• Prepare pastries and bread; follow recipes and production schedules.
• Operate and tend bakery equipment; rotate stock for freshness.
• Ensure accurate signage and pricing; assist customers.
• Adhere to safety policies, QA standards, and company procedures.
• Support Bakery Manager in daily operations and special requests.
