Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Bakery Manager in Tempe, AZ. You will assist the Bakery Manager with supervising the department, managing inventory, and ensuring product quality while delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a minimum of two years' retail grocery experience and two years supervisory experience.
• Must be dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with a positive attitude and strong customer interaction skills.
• Good communication and ability to follow/ give directions in a team.
• Ability to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitize work areas.
• Able to operate knives, scales, wrappers, and basic deli equipment; lift up to 40 lbs.
• Stand for up to 8 hours with occasional heavy lifting and movement.
• Adhere to safety, health, and sanitation regulations and obtain Food Handlers permit.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Bakery team.
• Execute rotation of merchandise and building of displays.
• Monitor incoming cases for damaged items.
• Ensure delivery of excellent customer service and monitor quality of Bakery products.
• Unload and sort store deliveries, operate and maintain deli equipment.
• Ensure safety and sanitation guidelines are followed by the team.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and support bakery operations.
