Job summary

99 Ranch Market in Edmonds, WA is seeking a friendly Bakery Associate to help with prep, baking support, and customer service on the floor. You will assist in forming, cutting, and baking dough, and ensure receipts and procedures are followed for quality and safety.

You'll merchandise products with clear signage, rotate stock using FIFO, and unload deliveries while keeping the bakery area clean and compliant with safety standards. Flexible shifts and training are provided to support team success.

Qualifications

• Previous bakery or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts.
• Basic reading and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing raw materials according to receipts or supervisor's instructions.
• Assist with the preparation of the baking process, including forming, cutting, shaping, and baking dough.
• Ensure products have proper signage and are merchandised to drive sales.
• Unload deliveries, stock shelves, rotate with FIFO, and maintain stockroom.
• Monitor expiration dates and help with ordering and stocking.
• Wrap and pack bakery items as requested by customers.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and follow procedures.
• Coordinate cleanliness with the Maintenance Department and reduce hazards.
• Protect assets and follow loss-prevention procedures.
• Handle expired or recalled products per supervisor.
• Conduct product demos to promote department sales.
• Greet customers and provide excellent service at checkout and on the floor.
• Follow cash handling procedures and assist at the register.
• Perform other duties as needed for business needs.
