Job summary

Nature's Bakery in Carson City, NV, part of the Mars family, seeks a Shift Supervisor to oversee production lines and ensure quality, safety, and on-time deliveries. You will lead cross-functional teams across Production, Quality, Safety, Maintenance, Warehouse and more, driving Lean improvements and coaching staff.

The role emphasizes proactive root-cause analysis, daily feedback, and development of team members to achieve operational excellence in a bakery environment.

Qualifications

• Adherence to safety, GMP and efficiency standards.
• Excellent communication: English and Spanish.
• Solid math skills with the ability to interpret results.
• Good mechanical aptitude to identify issues and direct repairs.
• Keen attention to detail; ensure quality standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Plan, organize and schedule machinery and team members to requirements.
• Maintain stamina in a fast-paced production environment.
• Deliver timely results with optimal use of resources.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the work area as neat, safe and orderly using Lean techniques and compliant with GMP.
• Ensures OSHA guidelines are followed and lock-out/tag-out procedures used as needed.
• Verifies quality standards with tests and documentation; conducts visual inspections and corrective actions as needed.
• Reduces raw material scrap; controls weight and eliminates hold product.
• Controls direct labor costs by maintaining line efficiencies and first-pass yields.
• Schedules team members to standard levels; minimizes overtime.
