Job summary

Nature's Bakery in Carson City, NV is seeking a shift supervisor for the 3rd shift to lead a team, ensure safety and quality, and optimize line performance. You will coach staff, monitor lean practices, and drive on-time production while minimizing waste and scrap.

The role requires strong communication, problem solving, and the ability to schedule manpower and machinery to meet daily production goals with adherence to GMP and OSHA guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Follow quality standards, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Adherence to safety, GMP and efficiency standards.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong math skills with ability to interpret results.
• Knowledge of repairing and maintaining equipment with hand/power tools.
• Keen attention to detail to ensure quality standards are met.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to plan, organize and schedule machinery and personnel.
• Stamina for a fast-paced environment with downtime costs.

Responsibilities

• Supervise assigned personnel and ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Ensure GMP conformity and OSHA guidelines are followed.
• Plan shift needs for labor, materials, WIP, and finished goods.
• Conduct production audits and ensure data accuracy.
• Verify product quality tests and record results.
• Manage labor costs, line efficiency and first-pass yields.
• Perform set-ups and changeovers with proper housekeeping.
• Meet customer on-time departure schedules.
• Develop KPI visuals and conduct daily tailgate meetings.
• Support ERP functions for inventory, lot tracking and work orders.
