Job summary

Nature's Bakery, part of the Mars Incorporated family, seeks a Shift Supervisor to oversee production lines, ensure quality and safety, and uphold housekeeping standards under the guidance of the Director of Site Operations.

You will lead cross-functional teams across Production, Quality, Safety, Maintenance, Warehouse and more, coach staff with regular feedback, drive Lean initiatives and continuous improvement to maximize line efficiency and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Adherence to safety, GMP and efficiency standards.
• Excellent communication in English and Spanish.
• Strong math skills and ability to interpret results.
• Mechanical aptitude to identify and address issues affecting quality or throughput.
• Attention to detail to meet quality standards at all times.
• Strong problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to plan, organize and schedule machinery and personnel.
• Stamina to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to downtime costs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain neat, safe and orderly work areas using Lean techniques.
• Follow OSHA guidelines and lock-out/tag-out procedures as needed.
• Ensure quality standards through tests, documentation and inspections.
• Reduce raw material scrap and optimize weight control and hold reduction.
• Achieve high line efficiencies and first-pass yields.
• Schedule staff to standard levels, minimize overtime.
• Oversee equipment maintenance, repair scheduling and cleanliness.
• Perform setup and changeovers with pre-flight checks and SMED tools.
• Prevent material mixing across flavors and ensure traceability.
• Post KPI visuals and conduct daily tailgate meetings.
• Complete paperwork in ERP systems and track lot numbers.
• Support Lean, SPC and other corporate initiatives.
• Develop staff through training and performance feedback.
• Contribute ideas for food safety, cost reduction and continuous improvement.
