Job summary

Insomniacookies is seeking a Shift Leader for our GVSU store at 10745 48th Ave, Allendale MI 49401. You will captain daily shifts, lead baking, cashiering and customer interactions, and ensure smooth operations while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will mentor teammates, manage tasks, and foster a fun, productive team environment with growth opportunities, paid time off, and on‑the‑job training in a fast-paced bakery setting.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of working experience in a customer service focused role.
• Experience with Point of Sale systems.
• Outgoing and patient demeanor with strong communication skills.
• Ability to lead-by-example and motivate others.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States, 18+.

Responsibilities

• Provide incredible customer service and quality products to guests.
• Support store leadership by maintaining operations during the shift and training teammates.
• Prioritize and delegate tasks for baking, cashiering, packaging and cleaning.
• Lead the cookie crew and ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Manage cash handling and deposits.
