Responsibilities

• Keeps bakery department stocked and appealing to meet customer demand. Smiles and greets customers, answers questions about products.
• Takes customer orders over the phone or in person with a pleasant, positive attitude.
• Sets up special-order tables during peak hours and builds displays; may write on cakes.
• Ensures merchandise is fresh, properly priced, and labeled with correct signage.
• Assists with production of breads and pastries per approved recipes and logs.
• Maintains department sanitation, follows health/OSHA guidelines, and disposes of trash properly.
• Assists with receiving and stocking deliveries and related tasks when trained.
