Job summary

Weis Markets is seeking a friendly bakery associate to help keep the department stocked, greet customers, and assist with custom orders. You will set up displays, ensure product freshness and proper pricing, and assist with baking production as needed.

Excellent customer service and the ability to work as part of a team are essential. This is an on-site position with responsibilities across receiving, stocking, and maintaining high hygiene standards in accordance with store policies.

Qualifications

• Customer service orientation and ability to greet and assist customers.
• Knowledge of products in bakery and ability to make recommendations.
• Effective communication with customers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Keeps bakery department well stocked and appealing to meet customer demand.
• Smiles and greets customers, makes suggestions, answers questions about various products.
• Takes customer orders over the phone or in person at the store with a pleasant and positive attitude.
• Sets up special-order tables during peak hours and shopping days; builds displays as needed.
• Ensures merchandise is fresh, properly priced, and correctly signed; manages non-saleable items per procedures.
• May assist with production of breads, pastries and other baked goods, following recipes.
• Maintains sanitation and cleanliness to meet health and OSHA requirements; handles waste properly.
• Assists with receiving, unloading, and storing deliveries; may operate power jack after training.
