Responsibilities

• Keeps bakery department well stocked and appealing to meet customer demand.
• Smiles and greets customers, makes suggestions, answers questions about various products.
• Takes customer orders over the phone or in person at the store with a pleasant and positive attitude.
• Sets up special-order tables during peak hours and shopping days; builds displays as needed.
• Ensures merchandise is fresh, properly priced with correct signage, and disposed of if un-saleable.
• May assist with production of breads, pastries and other baked goods.
• Maintains sanitation, follows cleaning schedules, and ensures health and OSHA standards.
• Assists with receiving, unloading, checking-in deliveries, and other related duties.
• Assists in reducing shrink and improving department performance.
