Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. in Denton, TX is seeking a Production Technician to contribute to all phases of a team-oriented production process.

Responsibilities include operating automated equipment, diagnosing machinery issues, sanitation, and maintaining quality and safety standards throughout production. The role requires a high school diploma with technical certification or equivalent training, plus 2+ years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of related experience.
• High School diploma or equivalency plus successful completion of a technical certification course (i.e., HVAC, auto maintenance/repair, etc.).
• Equivalent military training or 45 college credits may substitute for technical training.
• AIB 'Science of Baking' course may be included in the certification.

Responsibilities

• Checks and adheres to production work schedule for job assignments and work reporting times.
• Operates facility metal detector(s) when assigned and stays certified.
• Performs start-up/shut-down sanitation and limited preventative maintenance on machinery.
• Maintains clean, organized work areas and adheres to safety rules at all times.
• Checks production schedules and ensures correct formulas and order fulfillment.
• Scales and stages ingredients according to standards and loads product into proper containers.
• Performs quality control inspections and ensures compliance with governmental and company standards.
• Provides scheduled breaks for production technicians on assigned shift.
• Acts as a member of a high-performing team and performs other duties as directed.
