Job summary

Harvest Moon Baking Company (HMBC) is seeking a Production Manager to plan and execute production processes, monitor quality standards, and manage costs. The role includes inventory, scheduling, team organization, and ensuring deadlines are met in a Colorado-based bakery environment.

The candidate will oversee quality control, coordinate with shipping/receiving, and lead sanitation efforts while maintaining GMP and SQF compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Flexibility to work varying hours, overtime, and Saturdays as needed.
• Proficiency in all production processes and stations.
• Proficiency in the adjustment and programming of all bakery equipment.
• Proficiency in all proper sanitation standards for bakery equipment.
• Previous baking experience in a high-volume, fast-paced environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Daily reconciliation of all mix recipes in Flexibake.
• Daily reconciliation of case counts in Flexibake.
• Oversee quality control throughout the entire production process.
• Ensure all production is completed on time.
• Monitor the efficiency of production equipment.
• Conduct period-end inventory of raw materials.
• Notify Shipping/Receiving of shortages.
• Direct the sanitation team as needed.
• Coach/mentor staff through performance management.
• Organize and ensure efficiency of all production departments.
