Job summary

Sugar Foods Corporation is seeking a Bakery Production Manager for our Villa Rica, GA operation. You will own a designated production area, partner with the Plant Manager, and lead Supervisors, Leads and frontline teams on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include floor leadership, coaching, achieving safety and production goals, and working closely with Maintenance and Quality teams.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of hands-on managerial experience.
• Experience working in food processing and/or packaging.
• Strong background in understanding and working knowledge of manufacturing equipment.
• Experience in generating and executing tactical and strategic planning.
• Experience in identifying talent to build teams, developing and coaching supervisors and other staff.

Responsibilities

• Walk the floor with Supervisors to identify obstacles and remove them.
• Ensure safe start-up and hand-off for each shift.
• Review production schedules and shift hand-off reports daily.
• Coach Supervisors and Operators to improve performance and problem solving.
• Monitor safety, quality, and GMP adherence across the area.
• Collaborate with Maintenance and HR on onboarding and training of new hires.
