Job summary

Sugar Foods LLC in Villa Rica, GA seeks an experienced Production Manager to lead our bakery production lines on a 24-hour operation. You will own the shift, drive safety, quality, and continuous improvement with hands-on leadership on the floor.

We expect strong people development, adherence to GMPs, and the ability to coordinate with maintenance, QA, and HR to keep lines running smoothly and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Five years of hands-on managerial experience in food processing.
• Experience working in food processing and packaging.
• Strong background in understanding and working knowledge of manufacturing equipment.
• Experience in generating and executing tactical and strategic planning.
• Experience in identifying talent to build teams, developing and coaching supervisors and other staff

Responsibilities

• Walk the floor with supervisors to identify and remove obstacles.
• Ensure successful shift start-up and hand-off.
• Review production schedule and shift hand-off reports daily.
• Make sure team communicates effectively with material handlers.
• Ensure safety mechanisms are working properly.
• Own quality and strive for First Time Quality
