Job summary

Klosterman Baking Company seeks a Production Supervisor to oversee the day shift production of finished products under the direction of the Operations Excellence Production Manager. Responsible for all shift production actions and reporting any food safety and quality hazards to the management team.

The role emphasizes adherence to GMPs, quality control, and real-time documentation, with focus on equipment performance, scheduling, and safety on the bakery floor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain and operations management, or related field.
• At least five (3-5) years’ experience in food manufacturing supervision.
• Six Sigma Green belt and/or Black Belt certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all production on the designated shift for finished products.
• Review daily production schedule for codes, packaging, and upcoming products.
• Perform pre-flight / pre-operational inspections and shut-down checklists.
• Lead shift activities including planning, cross-training, and housekeeping.
• Ensure GMPs, cleanliness, labeling, and safety compliance.
• Review dough and process documentation; monitor temperatures and equipment performance.
• Coordinate with maintenance and wrap area operations to ensure smooth production flow.
• Ensure accurate packing, labeling, and documentation for downstream shipping.
