Job summary

Aspire Bakeries is seeking a General Labor, Bakery- Packing- 1st Shift at our Van Nuys, CA bakery. You’ll support daily packing operations, ensure bread quality meets specs, and maintain an efficient workflow aligned with case count requirements.

Shift is 1st, 6 AM–2:30 PM, with weekend availability. Hourly rate $19.95–$21.70. We provide a robust benefits program and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 months of manufacturing or food production experience, or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without accommodation.
• Fast-paced production environment while meeting safety standards.
• Follow written and verbal work instructions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure packed products meet quality and specifications (appearance, weight, dimensions, core temp).
• Assemble cases with liners, instructions, bags, labels, and codes.
• Operate and monitor packaging equipment for safe, accurate production.
• Elevate quality issues or equipment malfunctions to leadership.
• Palletize finished cases, label pallets, and place product in freezer locations.
• Complete packaging and production documentation accurately and on time.
