Job summary

Aspire Bakeries LLC is seeking an Operator 1, Bakery-Box Maker at our Swedesboro, NJ bakery. You will operate, monitor, and adjust packaging equipment to ensure continuous supply of properly formed boxes and inserted bags meeting product specs and food safety standards.

The role prioritizes packaging efficiency and product quality, supporting production schedules and GMP compliance. The shift is 3rd, weekend availability is required, with hourly pay of $20.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of two years of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read and interpret production schedules, operating instructions, safety rules, and procedure manuals.
• Basic math skills including fractions and decimals.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Excel.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 pounds, and assist with lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor box forming, bag inserting, and box taping equipment.
• Verify packaging materials, machine settings, and product specifications.
• Conduct quality checks on bag seals, box strength, and packaging integrity.
• Adjust and change over packaging equipment for varying sizes.
• Communicate equipment performance issues to leadership and support teams.
• Maintain GMP, food safety, quality and safety standards.
• Support continuous improvement through problem-solving and root-cause analysis.
