Insomnia Cookies is seeking an Assistant Bakery Operations Manager (ABOM) to develop the next generation of Bakery Operations Managers, operating at near-BOM level with urgency, accuracy, and accountability in our San Diego store at 3066 E. University Ave.

The role focuses on executing core bakery operations, staffing coordination, coaching, and adherence to quality, safety, and guest experience standards. It also includes a development pathway toward BOM leadership with competitive pay and

Qualifications

• 1+ year leadership experience in restaurant, retail, or hospitality operations.
• Strong operational discipline and attention to detail.
• Ability to coach and develop hourly team members.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
• Ability to perform all bakery roles during peak business periods.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute core bakery operations including inventory rotation, scheduling support, staffing coordination, and administrative checklists.
• Maintain strict adherence to product quality, cleanliness, food safety, and guest experience standards.
• Support ordering, inventory accuracy, and shrink control.
• Assist in schedule creation and labor execution to meet operational targets.
• Support recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training of new staff.
• Deliver coaching and real-time performance feedback.
• Hold team members accountable to standards and growth mindset culture.
• Ensure onboarding and training programs are executed to company standards.
