Job summary

The Cheesecake Factory Bakery in Calabasas, CA is seeking a Production Shift Manager to oversee all production activities on one shift, directing supervisors and floor leaders to drive operational excellence.

You will ensure SQF/HACCP/GMP compliance, manage staffing and inventory coordination, monitor quality and safety, and mentor teams to meet performance goals. This role requires strong leadership and a hands-on approach in a fast-paced bakery environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in food manufacturing management, preferably bakery/dessert, with supervisor experience.
• Strong quantitative and interpersonal skills.
• Self-directed with ability to work independently as well as with groups.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to effectively plan, organize and prioritize work.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise production activities across all areas on one shift.
• Ensure product quality meets standards for wholesomeness, appearance, dimensions, weight, flavor, and texture.
• Manage standard staffing levels for each position within the area of responsibility.
• Optimize workforce productivity and labor efficiency while minimizing waste.
• Partner with Receiving and Purchasing to ensure proper inventory rotation and optimal inventory levels.
• Lead and supervise minute-to-minute and hour-to-hour operations to ensure GMPs and sanitation standards.
• Maintain a score of 900+ on AIB sanitation inspections.
• Lead operations to ensure compliance with safety laws and company policies.
• Record and track employee attendance and administer attendance policies.
• Manage employee performance and apply progressive discipline when appropriate.
• Train and develop employees to support KPIs and a rewarding work environment.
• Direct all personnel activities in compliance with laws and policies.
