Job summary

The Cheesecake Factory Bakery seeks a Production Shift Manager to oversee all production activities on one shift, directing supervisors and leaders to achieve service, quality, cost, safety, and people objectives. You will implement SQF, HACCP, and product traceability programs, ensuring compliance with safety standards for ingredients, WIP, and finished products.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in food manufacturing management with supervisor-level success.
• Strong quantitative and interpersonal skills; ability to think critically.
• Self-directed; able to work independently as well as with groups.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work.
• Preference for BA/BS in Business Administration or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise production activities across all areas on one shift (mixing, depositing, baking, packaging, labeling).
• Ensure formulations, specifications and procedures meet wholesomeness, appearance, weight and texture requirements.
• Manage staffing levels within area of responsibility.
• Use performance metrics to optimize productivity and labor efficiency.
• Control material usage to minimize waste and maximize yield.
• Coordinate with Receiving and Purchasing for inventory rotation and levels.
• Ensure GMPs, housekeeping and sanitation standards; maintain sanitation inspections score.
• Record attendance and administer company attendance policies.
• Manage employee performance and apply progressive discipline when needed.
• Train and develop employees to support key performance objectives.
• Direct personnel activities in compliance with laws, regulations and policies.
