Job summary

The Cheesecake Factory Bakery in Calabasas, California is seeking a Sanitation Supervisor to oversee daily sanitation activities and maintain a clean, food-safe environment for our facility and processing equipment. You will lead the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of sanitation and pest control programs, including updating the Master Sanitation Schedule and SSOPs.

This role partners with QA and Operations to ensure regulatory compliance (FIFRA, OSHA, FDA) and top audit

Qualifications

• 5 years minimum experience in food sanitation, preferably bakery/dessert or general food manufacturing.
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
• Strong quantitative skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to think critically.
• Self-directed with the ability to work independently as well as with groups.
• Responsible for inventory management and organization of chemical, chemical cleaning supplies, PPE and paper goods.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to effectively plan, organize and prioritize work
• Ability to use MS Excel, Word, Outlook email and Kronos

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates all daily sanitation activities within the processing facility.
• Maintains GMP provisions that relate to cleanliness, food safety and pest control within the facility.
• Aids in the administration of biological monitoring procedures to determine the efficacy of sanitation methods.
• Responsible for maintaining a supply of cleaning chemicals necessary for operation of the cleaning program and in compliance with FIFRA, OSHA, and FDA regulations.
• Supervises the operations to maintain the highest rating possible on all annual audits and inspections.
• Develops and implements new methods, procedures, and systems to improve quality and food safety sanitation performances.
• Assists with QA and Operations to comply with all applicable OSHA requirements, food safety regulations and internal systems and processes.
• Responsible for verification of sanitation documentation, training and development of the sanitation team and process improvement of systems and procedures.
