Job summary

The Cheesecake Factory Bakery is seeking a Plant Director to lead a three-shift 65,000-square-foot facility with ~160 hourly staff in Calabasas, CA. You will direct production scheduling, materials logistics, and packaging operations while driving safety, quality, and cost performance.

You will apply lean methods, Kaizen, and Six Sigma to improve yield and efficiency, mentor leaders, and partner with HR for training and development.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in food manufacturing management, preferably bakery/dessert, at Plant Manager/Director level
• Strong food safety knowledge and equipment experience
• Familiar with USDA, FDA, OSHA regulations
• Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma proficiency and data-driven improvement
• Experience with large-scale P&L responsibility
• Strong strategic leadership and team motivation skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee production planning and scheduling to optimize service and efficiency
• Manage labor, materials, equipment, and cost within budget
• Lead plant safety initiatives and drive safety performance improvements
• Collaborate with Plant Engineer on preventive and emergency maintenance
• Ensure quality standards and regulatory compliance across production
• Drive continuous improvement in people, process and equipment
