Job summary

The Cheesecake Factory Bakery in Calabasas, CA is seeking a Plant Director to lead all production and packaging activities for a three-shift operation. You will drive performance in people, safety, quality, service, and cost, aligned with the company’s mission and values.

You will oversee scheduling, materials logistics, and continuous improvement initiatives, while managing a large team and ensuring compliance with food safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 15 years in food manufacturing management, preferably bakery/dessert industry, at Plant Manager or Director level.
• Bachelor’s degree; MBA is a plus.
• Strong experience with food safety, equipment, and regulations.
• Experience with emergency preparedness and response plans.
• Familiar with USDA, FDA, OSHA regulations.
• Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma knowledge.
• Direct responsibility for large-scale P&L.
• Strategic management and team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead production and packaging activities for a three-shift, 65,000 sq ft operation.
• Oversee production planning, scheduling, and material/logistics management.
• Manage timekeeping, labor efficiency, and plant productivity within budget.
• Collaborate with Plant Engineer on preventive maintenance and downtime reduction.
• Ensure quality standards, food safety, and regulatory compliance.
