Job summary

Weis Markets is seeking a Bakery Associate to join our Martinsburg store. You will decorate cakes and bakery items, assist with daily bakery operations, merchandising, and customer service while maintaining high standards of freshness and presentation.

You will help manage inventory, scheduling, and logs, while supporting the Bakery Manager and training associates to ensure efficient, friendly service and adherence to company recipes and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business-related or food service-related field desirable.
• Minimum 2 years’ management experience in retail/restaurant/supermarket environment.
• Previous decorating experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Decorate cakes and bakery products with various designs and frostings.
• Assist Bakery Manager in day-to-day bakery operations, merchandising, and customer service.
• Oversee inventories, scheduling, and weekly sales reports to ensure accuracy.
• Train and recognize performance; delegate tasks to maximize department efficiency.
• Ensure product freshness, proper pricing, and correct signage; manage production logs.
