Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market in Kentucky is seeking an Assistant Bakery Manager to lead Bakery Clerks and assist the Bakery Manager in daily operations. You’ll focus on customer service, product quality, inventory control, and ensuring health and safety guidelines are followed.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of retail grocery and supervisory experience, are dependable, and can communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment. This role offers competitive pay and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years old with at least two years of retail grocery experience and two years of supervisory experience.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with positive attitude and customer interaction skills.
• Strong communication and ability to take directions in a team environment.
• Ability to answer phones and take special orders.
• Maintain clean, sanitary work area and operate required bakery equipment.
• Stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs with/without assistance.
• Adhere to safety, health and Weights & Measures regulations and obtain a Food Handlers permit.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising for productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering, inventory control, product quality, and bakery team supervision.
• Execute rotation of merchandise and build displays.
• Monitor incoming cases for damaged items.
• Ensure excellent customer service and bakery product quality.
• Unload/store deliveries and maintain deli equipment.
• Enforce health, safety and sanitation guidelines across the team.
