Job summary

ShopRite of West Milford is seeking a Bakery Manager to direct and supervise all Bakery Department operations, ensuring sales, quality, safety, and exceptional customer experiences. You will lead a team, maintain standards, and drive engagement in a fast-paced retail setting.

The role requires strong leadership, HACCP familiarity, and the ability to train and motivate Associates while upholding safety policies and company priorities at ShopRite of West Milford.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language.
• Basic math skills required.
• Stand/walk for full shift.
• Basic computer skills.
• Regularly lift 25 lbs. and occasionally 60 lbs.
• Work with fresh, dried and/or processed products.
• Work in varying temperatures.
• Tolerate dust and cleaning agents during housekeeping duties.
• Climb a ladder to access overhead racking/storage.
• Interact with Customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Lead Associates to achieve department goals.
• Be punctual and adhere to attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all functions of Bakery Department to meet department goals.
• Lead and engage Associates to achieve sales, customer experience, and engagement targets.
• Ensure safety, HACCP, and compliance with all policies and regulations.
• Maintain department organization, pricing accuracy, and stock rotation.
• Coordinate with Store Manager and other departments to support operations.
• Provide training and feedback to Associates to improve performance.
