Job summary

ShopRite of Branchburg is seeking a Bakery Manager to direct and supervise all functions and activities of the Bakery Department and its Associates. You will aim to achieve department goals in sales, profit, customer experience, and associate engagement while upholding ShopRite service priorities.

The role requires strong English communication, math skills, physical stamina, and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English proficiently.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to stand/walk for scheduled shifts.
• Ability to work with computer functions.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs occasionally and 25 lbs regularly.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly way.
• Ability to lead and engage associates to meet department goals.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all functions of the Bakery Department.
• Drive department sales, profit, customer experience, and associate engagement.
• Lead onboarding, training, and performance feedback for associates.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance in the bakery.
• Maintain proper staffing and department scheduling.
• Assist with food preparation and special orders as needed.
