Job summary

ShopRite of Bayonne is seeking a Bakery Manager to direct all bakery department functions, lead associates, and ensure top-notch customer experience. You will enforce safety standards, manage staffing, and uphold company policies while driving sales and department profitability.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail bakery environment. This is a full-time, on-site position in Bayonne, NJ.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak English fluently and understand complex instructions.
• Able to stand/walk for full shifts and lift up to 60 lbs.
• Strong communication and leadership to guide bakery associates.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all Bakery Department functions to meet goals (sales, profit, customer experience).
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Onboard and train new department associates; provide feedback and development.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and compliance with policies and procedures.
• Ensure proper stocking, labeling, and display of bakery items.
• Oversee department operations and staffing to meet sales and customer experience needs.
