Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market in Norwalk, CA is seeking a Bakery Manager to lead daily baking operations, supervise quality, manage inventory and display bakery products, and ensure safety and food-handling standards.

You will plan orders, schedule staff, coach team members, recruit and promote, and drive sales and gross profit while delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced store environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a minimum of 2 years' retail grocery experience.
• Be dependable and reliable with ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Have outgoing, friendly behavior and positive attitude toward team members and customers.
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow directions in a team environment.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Maintain clean and sanitized work areas.
• Operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Able to stand for long periods and handle light-to-moderate lifting as part of duties.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily output baking, production, and display of bakery products.
• Supervise product quality, inventory, and bakery budget.
• Implement improved practices and procedures based on observations.
• Maintain safety, sanitation, and proper food handling standards.
• Order, receive, unload and store supplies; rotate merchandise and build displays.
• Plan and schedule to maximize sales and gross profit; adjust staffing as needed.
• Lead and coach team members, conduct performance reviews and personnel actions.
