Job summary

Sugar Bowl Bakery in Hayward, CA is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, install, and improve production equipment and facility systems supporting safe, reliable bakery operations.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on packaging and facility equipment, read manuals and schematics, document work in our CMMS, and collaborate with Production, Sanitation, and Quality Assurance to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

Vocational/technical training or apprenticeship required.
Three+ years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing preferred, with food/bakery experience a bonus.
Ability to read equipment manuals and mechanical drawings for troubleshooting.
Safe electrical troubleshooting knowledge for 480/240V three-phase and 120/110V single-phase systems.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on production, packaging, and facility equipment.
Diagnose failures, identify root causes, and complete repairs to minimize downtime.
Troubleshoot food manufacturing equipment including mixers, ovens, labelers, and conveyors.
Document labor, repairs, and parts used in the maintenance system.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve equipment reliability and safety.
