Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market in Downey, CA is seeking a Bakery Manager to lead daily baking, production, and display of bakery products while delivering outstanding customer service in a fast-paced setting.

You will supervise quality, inventory, and budget, train and coach team members, coordinate schedules, and ensure safety and sanitation standards are met. Prior retail bakery experience and strong leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' retail grocery experience.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily bakery output, production, and display.
• Supervise product quality, inventory, and budget.
• Develop improved practices and procedures.
• Uphold safety and sanitation standards.
• Manage ordering, receiving, storage, and rotation.
• Build displays and handle labeling and pricing.
• Schedule staff and ensure proper staffing levels.
• Lead team development and performance reviews.
• Attend in-store meetings and recruit/hire as needed.
• Act as MOD when required.
