Job summary

Aspire Bakeries' Hazleton, PA bakery is seeking a Technician I, FSQA-Bakery to protect product quality and food safety through inspections, sampling, testing, and documentation in line with AIMS.

This role supports GMP, HACCP, and allergen controls, with a 2nd shift from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and opportunities for growth within a collaborative culture. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proficient reading, writing, and math skills.
• Strong communication, analytical, critical thinking, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct food safety and quality assurance verification activities to ensure compliance with Aspire Bakeries standards and regulatory requirements.
• Perform product sampling, testing, inspections, and documentation in accordance with AIMS procedures and records.
• Identify, document, and elevate food safety and quality non-conformances, including product hold activities when required.
• Verify adherence to GMPs, HACCP, preventive controls, allergen controls, sanitation, and food safety programs.
• Evaluate finished products through sensory, physical, packaging, and labeling assessments to ensure specification compliance.
• Support cross-functional food safety initiatives, pre-operational inspections, and environmental monitoring activities.
• Promote a safe workplace by communicating food, employee, and equipment safety concerns and supporting established control measures.
