Job summary

Harris Teeter in United States (South Carolina) seeks a Full Time Deli Bakery Management Assistant to supervise up to 80 associates in the Fresh Foods Department and assist the Department Manager with overall direction, coordination, and evaluation.

The role requires strong supervisory and customer service skills, the ability to train staff, plan and direct work, and maintain high standards of service and food safety. Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 years related experience and/or training.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist to manage and supervise up to 80 associates in the Fresh Foods Department.
• Assist the Department Manager with direction, coordination, and evaluation.
• Perform duties of baker/fryer, cake decorator, Fresh Foods clerks, and chef as needed.
• Interview and train associates; plan, assign, and direct work.
• Assist in appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints.
• Resolve problems and ensure customer satisfaction.
