Job summary

Harris Teeter is seeking a Full Time Deli Bakery Management Assistant in Florence, SC to assist in leading the Fresh Foods Department. You will help supervise up to 80 associates, coordinate daily operations, and ensure high standards of service and safety.

The role emphasizes training, performance appraisal, and resolving customer issues while aligning with store goals and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Commitment to unparalleled customer service; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to participate in and successfully complete required training and to work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
• Complete Company's training including but not limited to new hire orientation, customer service network, safety, food safety, and department manager training.

Responsibilities

• Assist to manage and supervise up to 80 associates in the Fresh Foods Department.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Harris Teeter's policies and standards.
• Interviewing and training associates.
• Planning, assigning, and directing work.
• Assist in appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining associates.
• Addressing complaints and resolving problems.
