Job summary

Lowes Foods seeks a Bench Department Manager for the bakery to supervise daily operations and ensure guest satisfaction. After training, you may cover a Department Manager role within 30 miles of home, or remain in bench until a posting opens.

You will oversee staff, inventory, and safety while meeting merchandising standards and company guidelines, delivering quality products and strong guest service.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the bakery staff.
• Achieve budgeted sales, shrink and profits for the bakery department.
• Maintain inventory and supplies at target levels.
• Operate the department per merchandising and operational guidelines.
• Ensure product quality meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department.
• Provide guidance and training to bakery hosts for performance.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, stocking and guest service as needed.
• Maintain department labor budget and scheduling standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
• Make PA announcements as required.
