Job summary

ShopRite of Pelham Parkway in Pelham, NY is seeking a Bakery Manager to lead the Bakery Department, supervise associates, and drive sales, safety, and customer experience. The role reports to the General Store Manager and requires strong leadership, cash handling, and food safety practices.

You will direct daily operations, ensure proper product handling, staff development, and adherence to company Service Priorities: Safety, Friendliness, Presentation, and Efficiency.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Basic math skills required for accurate transactions and reporting.
• Ability to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions and use point-of-sale systems.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and work in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all Bakery Department functions and Associates to achieve goals (sales, profit, customer experience, engagement).
• Ensure safety, food safety, and regulatory compliance in all department operations.
• Lead and develop Associates, including interviewing, training, and performance feedback.
• Maintain department presentation, proper pricing, stock, and product rotation in displays.
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and adherence to time and attendance policies.
