Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates and maintain a positive attitude.
• Communicate department goals and information to associates.
• Set department performance goals and drive teamwork to meet/exceed targets.
• Develop scheduling to manage customer volume.
• Train and develop associates; participate in performance appraisals.
• Create welcoming environment and assist customers with questions and product location.
• Inform customers of specials and offer samples to encourage discovery.
• Review products for quality and freshness; take appropriate action.
• Create and implement a department business plan to achieve results.
• Plan and execute sales promotions with store management.
• Educate associates about in-store promotions affecting the department.
• Prepare seasonal critiques for the sales/merchandising supervisor.
• Execute the period promotional plan for the department.
• Assist in budgeting, expense control, and financial reporting actions.
• Schedule price changes and update shelf tags/promotional signs.
• Organize inventory processes and train staff on CAO and stocking.
• Maintain proper temperatures and temperature logs.
• Enforce safety programs and report safety risks or incidents.
• Adhere to laws and company guidelines; work cooperatively under pressure.
• Handle conflicts professionally and maintain integrity of information.
• Support minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults as needed.
• Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
