Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Bakery Manager in our California store to lead Bakery Clerks and assist the Bakery Manager in daily operations. You’ll drive product quality, display creation, inventory, and customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 18+ years old with grocery and supervisory experience, strong communication, and flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Join a growing team focused on healthy living and community service.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a minimum of two years' retail grocery experience and two years supervisory experience.
• Be dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Have outgoing, friendly behavior and a positive attitude interacting with customers.
• Strong communication skills with ability to take and give direction in a team.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Bakery team.
• Execute rotation of merchandise and building of displays.
• Monitor in-coming cases for damaged items.
• Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service and monitor the quality of Bakery product.
• Unload and sort store deliveries and maintain deli equipment.
• Adhere to safety, health, and sanitation guidelines and ensure team compliance.
