Job summary

SpartanNash in Ottawa, OH is seeking a part-time Deli/Bakery Associate to prepare, fry, package, display and stock deli and bakery products while ensuring guest experience and safety guidelines are followed.

You will work independently with basic math, read and interpret recipes, and coordinate with the team to meet merchandising and flight plan expectations. A High School Diploma or GED is preferred and retail experience is valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Detail-oriented and careful with measurements.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce Bakery/Deli products for production planning.
• Package and label Bakery/Deli products per program plan.
• Merchandise Bakery/Deli products according to flight plan and merchandising expectations.
• Stock backroom with Bakery/Deli products, rotat­ing and dating cases/buckets.
• Collaborate with other departments and stores to drive growth.
• Notify Bakery/Deli Manager when products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Follow PPE, safety, and food safety guidelines.
• Maintain guest experience standards and cleanliness.
