Responsibilities include:

• Offering product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
• Informing customers of bakery and deli specials.
• Providing customers with fresh products, ensuring correct portion sizes to prevent shrink.
• Recommending deli or bakery items to meet customer needs.
• Using bakery equipment safely and according to guidelines.
• Preparing foods following temperature logs and cooking instructions.
• Measuring, preparing, and mixing ingredients as per recipes.
• Packaging, labeling, and inventorying ingredients and merchandise.
• Checking product quality and freshness, reviewing 'sell by' dates.
• Operating kitchen equipment properly.
• Labeling, stocking, and inventory management.
• Reporting discrepancies in product ordering/shipping.
• Knowing store layout to assist customers in locating products.
• Staying current with ads and product knowledge to answer customer questions and make suggestions.
• Monitoring inventory/stocking conditions and maintaining temperature logs.
