Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

• Prepare bakery/deli items according to customer requests using proper equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
• Inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products in the correct portions to prevent shrinkage.
• Recommend bakery or deli items to customers to meet their needs.
• Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to guidelines.
• Prepare foods following safety and cooking instructions, and maintain quality standards.
• Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients as per recipes, using appropriate utensils and equipment.
• Label, stock, and inventory merchandise accurately.
• Check product quality, review "sell by" dates, and take necessary actions.
• Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers, and keep logs.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures.
• Maintain a welcoming environment and assist customers with product questions and suggestions.
• Report discrepancies, unsafe conditions, or equipment issues to management.
• Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment, managing conflicts professionally.
• Follow directions, seek assistance when needed, and support diverse customer needs.
• Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
