Job summary

Whole Foods Market IP. L.P. is seeking a skilled Bakery Decorator to create and decorate cakes, tarts, pastries, and special-order items. You will finish bakery goods to meet high quality standards and deliver outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires efficient decorating, strong color theory, and ability to follow recipes and procedures. You will assist Apprentices and other team members, ensuring cleanliness and safety in the bakery area.

Qualifications

• Efficient cake and pastry decorating skills including intermediate piping techniques.
• Understand color theory for buttercream colors and palettes.
• Ability to follow recipes, directions, and procedures; good time management.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills; maintain safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, fill, and finish/decorate cakes, tarts, pastries, and special-order items.
• Build, ice, and decorate cakes following standard procedures to meet demand and keep records.
• Prioritize production lists and adjust as needed.
• Merchandise products and maintain freshness and rotation in display cases.
