Hy-Vee’s Bakery Clerk position is based in Minnesota. You’ll greet customers, help with bakery products, and keep the counter organized and welcoming, so shoppers enjoy a warm, helpful experience.

No prior experience is required; Hy-Vee will train you. You’ll learn product handling, sanitation, and teamwork to support a busy bakery environment while supporting store goals and customer happiness.

Qualifications

• Less than a high school diploma or equivalent accepted.
• Up to six months of similar or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly and making them feel welcome in the bakery
• Assist customers with finding products, reaching items, carrying heavy purchases, and taking orders at the bakery counter
• Review daily orders and monitor product freshness, appearance, and supply levels throughout your shift
• Prepare, finish, and replenish baked goods as needed, pulling product from the cooler or freezer to prepare for baking
• Follow and maintain proper sanitation procedures, keeping your work area clean and organized at all times
• Check in product, put product away, and review invoices as needed
• Operate the department register to process payments where applicable
• Remove trash in a timely manner and maintain a tidy department
• Work alongside your teammates to ensure a smooth, positive experience for every customer
• Maintain compliance with Hy-Vee's dress code, hygiene standards, and all company policies
• Assist in other store areas and take on special projects as needed
